North of Sexy
North of Sexy is a rock band based in Whitehorse, Yukon. The band was starting to get paying gigs, and were in need of a logo so they could use it for marketing and merchandise.
PROJECT SCOPE
• Brand logo with colour scheme
THE CONCEPT
The group wanted their logo to symbolize their home in the north as well as to reference music in some way.
I started with the concept of adding in a simplified compass into the “O” of north, and then played around with different music symbols. The treble clef symbol was perfect inspiration for the “S” in sexy. The fact that we were able to get 2 different symbols into the logo is really cool.
I gave the band a few colour schemes to choose from, and they loved the indigo blue with bright green. The band has already printed merch with their new logo!
